We kick off 2020 with a Gaspar Invitational at The Eagles Golf Club off of Race Track Road. The Eagles has a pair of 18-hole courses, with the Forest Course being the more scenic of the two. The first 36 golfers who sign up and pay will be guaranteed a spot. We are guaranteed a shotgun start, so everyone should be able to get into the clubhouse in the early afternoon, grab a bite to eat, have a beer or two, and talk about the round that could have been!
Don't forget to start off 2020 with Gaspar Challenges! Many of you did not participate in any Challenges, and did not compete for a spot in the Gaspar Cup Playoffs. We will possibly expand the Playoffs to 8 players in 2020, so check out the Gaspar Challenge page, and start competing with people in your golf group. You can play a Gaspar Challenge in any 18 hole round of golf, not just during a Gaspar Invitational. Anyone who has played at least one Gaspar Invitational is eligible to play in a Gaspar Challenge match. Earn Gaspar Cup points every time you play golf!
In keeping with New Years parties, let's "dress to impress" this month! Wear your finest golf attire. Golf slacks are highly encouraged. We will award a special prize to the best dressed golfer this month.
PLEASE show up at least 30-45 minutes before our start time, and be at your golf cart ready for announcements 15 minutes before we tee off. Range balls are included in your round of golf, so get here in plenty of time to warm up, hit some balls, roll some putts, pay for all your games, compete in the Sink the Putt contest, and be ready to go on time.
Thanks!
Current pot prior to event - $74
Come to the practice green no later than 1/2 hour prior to our tee time to compete in the Sink the Putt contest. Bring a crisp, new $1 bill, give it to Tres, and he will show you where the hole is located. You get exactly ONE PUTT to win the pot. If there are two or more players who sink the putt, we will have a playoff after the golf tournament ends. To win the playoff, you must sink another putt. If no one makes a playoff putt, the pot rolls over again!

We take $1 from each player in the Points Game, and put it toward the Gaspar Cup Pot. We then take the total of all money paid for the Points Game and Closest to the Pins, and arrive at our Gaspar Invitational prize money. 50% goes to the winner (Jose Gaspar). 15% goes to 2nd place (Skallywag). 20% goes to Closest to the Pins (divided by number of par 3 holes won), and 15% goes to marketing and prizes.
If anyone has any questions, please speak to Tres or Frank.
