It finally happened.  "El Capitan" Willy Medina won the B Flight at Saturday's Hawaiian Open at Clermont National for his first ever win.  Mike "White Lightning" Caporale became the first ever 5-time winner in Gaspar Golf.  Clermont National didn't disappoint, with super hilly fairways, and great facilities, but the rough...holy US Open!

Mike Caporale shot a 67, and finished at +2 over his 38 quota.  Sean McNamee tied him at +2 after shooting 78.  Mike beat Sean on a scorecard comparison, but they went out to the 1st hole to do a sudden death playoff.  Caporale made birdie on the first playoff hole to take the win.  Mike took home $120 for his win, and another $24 for 2 skins.  Sean won $24 for 2nd place.

Over in the B Flight, Willy held off Eric Delgado by shooting 85 to finish at +5.5 in the quota game.  Eric finished 2nd at +4.5, shooting 87.  Willy won $120 for his win, plus another $12 for a skin to take home $132.  Eric won $24 for 2nd place, and another $24 for a CTP, for a total of $48.

Our Wench was Bill Capito "Esquire," who struggled with a 93 and -9.5 in the quota game, as his quota had risen to 27.

Everyone's quotas will adjust normally after this tournament, but those in the Playoffs will revert to their pre-tournament quotas for the Playoffs in a month.  After the Playoffs, their quotas will return to what they were after the Hawaiian Open.  We wanted to prevent any sandbagging going into the Playoffs.
