We have played some tough courses over the past 2-1/2 years, but Gaspar Invitational XXVIII proved to be by far the most difficult layout on a beautiful day in Wesley Chapel.  The players all braved about a 20 minute rain shower, and continued to grind it out on a course that was in really nice shape.  But what about those pin placements?  We found out after the round that the head groundskeeper was told his last day was going to be 12/31, so he decided to make things almost impossible on several holes on Saddlebrook's Palmer Course.  Downhill putts would roll 20' by the flag.  Uphill putts would stop at the hole, turn around, and race back to your feet.  It was greenskeeper's revenge at its finest!

One player battled through tricky putts to post 3 birdies, and take home the title of Jose Gaspar in the season ending event.  November's Champion was Dylan Fey, one of only 3 players to exceed their Quota.  Dylan's 3 birdies made the difference, and his +2 finish was the lowest total to win an event in Gaspar Golf's history.  He shot 87, and finished with 23 points.  His 1st place prize money was $197, and he also made $10 each for 2 skins for another $20, for a total winnings of $217.

Right behind Dylan was our own Nature Boy at +1.  Arnie Rutkis shot an impressive 84, and made 26 points to take the Skallywag title for November 2021.  2nd place was worth $65, and he also made 2 skins at $10 each for an extra $20, and a Closest to the Pin for $22, for total prize winnings of $107.

3rd place was our final player who exceeded his Points Quota by 1/2 point, Todd Broadbent.  Big Country shot 91, and finished with 20.5 to earn the title of Deck Hand.  Todd's 3rd place prize money was $22, and he also snagged 2 skins for another $20, to make $42 on the day.

Our Wench was our raver, Ken "EDM" Cabrera, who shot an astounding 100 in route to a -10 against his Points Quota.
