Former D1 college golfer, and part-time mini-tour player, Mike Caporale, also self-proclaimed top 100 drivers of the golf ball in the world, shot an easy-peasy 6-under par 66 to win the 2025 Summer Slam tournament at Disney's Magnolia Course by 1/2 point over Toby Sager.  Playing at a much deflated and too low quota of 37, Cap predicted a 66 or better, along with his win.  A couple small mistakes cost him a score of 63-64, but his 350+ yard drive on the long par 4 hole #14 made for an exciting round of golf.  While Donnie, Rico and I didn't live up to our end of the bargain, all playing poorly, at least we had Cap to watch tear the course apart.  Mike also grabbed 3 skins with birdies and a CTP.  He won a total of $326, and has moved back up to a 40 quota for the final tournament of the season at Skyview.

Toby Sager, back for the past 2 months after missing 11 events, has played really well.  He shot an impressive 83 yesterday with a quota of 22, and finished +4.5 to earn 2nd place Skallywag honors, plus $75 in prize money.

3rd place went to recent winner, Fausto Diaz, who shot a 91 to finish +4 to earn 3rd place Deckhand honors, along with $25 in prize money.

Shout out to Brett Zurcher and Victor Castro, who both fired scores of 75 on a difficult course that played longer than the stated yardages of the yellow tees.  Most yellow tees were pushed back to the white tee distance, and the course probably was more like 6400-6500 for our event.

The Wench went to Big Country, Todd Broadbent, who was -7 on the day.

Next month, in our last tournament of the 2024-2025 7th Season, we are at Skyview Golf Club on September 20th.  Hoping to get a bigger turnout as we finish out the season at a very popular course.
