Donald Jensen, who has dominated much of the Black Skull Golf League the past couple years, finally broke through on the biggest stage on the Pirate Golf Tour, winning the Azalea Open at Black Diamond on the Quarry Course.  After playing in the previous day's Black Skull round at Skyview, and shooting 100+, Jensen bounced back in 1 day to fire a 79 at Black Diamond, holding off Rico "The Freakin' Rican Bomber" Velez, and Bill Capito Esquire in the end.  Our Bushwhacker brother #1 was +7 over his 24 quota, winning the Jose Gaspar honors and $289 in prize money.

We had a tie for 2nd place between Capito and Velez, with Rico winning on the first scorecard playoff hole with a par to Bill's double bogey.  Capito received a shot on the hole, but it was not enough to overcome the par.  Rico shot an 81 to finish at +5 over his quota, earning Skallywag honors and $64 in prize money.  He also grabbed a CTP and a skin worth another $32 & $57, for a total of $153.

Bill Capito earns 3rd place and Deckhand honors, shooting an 87 and tying Rico at +5.  Our resident Pirate Attorney receives $64 in prize money.

The Wench, for last place among eligible quota game players, was Steven Haubenstock.  His game was off, and after shooting 103 and finishing -12.5, he headed straight to the range to fix his swing.  He brought a new Pirate to the group, Dillon Shinee, who looks more like a college football player than golfer, so we have another potential Bushwhacker in our midst.

Helen "Wuzy" Wu brought another guest, current Harvard golf team player, Bryan Fang, who is in the Bay Area for an internship this summer.  We hope to get him out there in a couple Black Skull league rounds while he's here.

Chad Stewart brought his son out for Father's Day also, so it was a great way to celebrate the special day on a special golf course.

We also saw the return of a legend, the Kingpin himself, Tony Ambrose, back in his first tournament post heart surgery.  It's great having the Executive Vice Pirate and sometimes A$$man among us again!

Next month is the highly anticipated Skulls vs Crossbones team event at Streamsong, a 2-day tournament that pits bitter pirate rivals against each other in team games on Saturday, and singles on Sunday.  Team Skulls owns a 2 season winning streak, and hopes to keep that going on July 19-20.

Our next tournament is in August at Disney's Magnolia Course.  Including the team event, we only have 3 tournaments remaining in the current Season, with lots of prize money on the line in our Playoffs in October.
