In an exciting sudden death playoff, Mike Caporale and Carlos Marcelino went back to #18 to decide the winner of the Crooked Cat Fight at Orange County National.  After pushing on #18, they went to #1, and Caporale made par to Carlos's bogey, and won the title of Jose Gaspar for May 2023.  Mike's quota jumped to 43 after his win, so it's time for everyone to challenge our resident pro!

Mike shot an impressive 67, with 2 eagles, and exceeded his too-low 37 quota by +6.  He took home the first place prize money of $220, plus 2 skins for another $22, for a total of $242.

Carlos shot a great 83, and was also +6 on the day.  His 2nd place finish is his best since joining the Pirate Tour, and only great things are ahead for this nice young player.  He made $73 for 2nd place, and also another $11 for a skin, for a total of $84 on the day, along with being the May 2023 Skallywag.

Just missing out on the sudden death playoffs was Donald Jensen, whose 82 netted him a +5.5 finish.  3rd place was worth $24 on the day, and the title of Deckhand.

A pre-tournament favorite was one of our best players, Carolyn Card, who had a very off day, shooting a 96 for a -15 total on her quota, and earning her the coveted title of Wench for the month.
