On a frigid Florida afternoon, 56 players braved the cold to try their hand at a tough golf course at the private Bayou Club. Only a handful of players were over their Quotas, and the winning score was only +3.5.
After a job change took him out of the Gaspar Golf loop for the past 6 months, Todd Dohnal returned in his last eligible month to win the inaugural Bionic Gloves Open at Bayou Club. Todd fired a 91, and was tied for 1st place with Adam Larson, who shot a 90. Both players ended up +3.5. I had to go to the tiebreaker rule again, and Todd made bogey on the #1 handicap hole, with Adam taking a max.
First place was worth $352 to Todd, and he earns the title of Jose Gaspar for January 2022. Adam was our Skallywag, and got $117 for the 2nd place spot. 3rd place went to Anne "Bones" Rhodes, who continues her hot hand by shooting 110, and a +3 finish. Bones won $39.
Last place and Wench honors, due to the +5 points rule going into effect, went to Manuel Villar.
