Clayton Quackenbush won his 1st Gaspar Invitational in the first tournament of Season 5, by edging Antonio Galaviz in a scorecard playoff.  Clayton got a shot on the #1 and #2 handicap holes.  After a net tie on the 1st hardest hole, Clayton's shot on the 2nd hardest hole gave him the win.  The Quack won $239 for 1st place, and $31 for a B Flight skin, for a $270 payday, along with the title of Jose Gaspar.

Antonio won $80 for 2nd place, and the title of Skallywag.  3rd place, and Deckhand honors, went to Rocky Hauch, with a take of $26.

What started out as a cold morning turned into a beautiful day at ChampionsGate on the tough International Course.

With a hard fought battle, Clayton and Antonio both tied with +3.5 over their Quotas. With the live scoring not quite ready, the Rules Committee voted to go to the scorecards, and after a net tie on the #1 handicap hole, Clayton wins the tiebreaker, and wins his first Tournament! Antonio comes in second, Rocky Hauch comes in 3rd at +2.5.

At the other end of the spectrum, Mike Caporale shot his worst score ever at a Gaspar Golf event (78 if you want to feel bad about yourself), but did not get the Wench.  That honor went to Manuel Villar, who limped to the finish line with an injured back, setting an all-time record for most points under their Quota.
