As we remembered our fallen Pirates, Jimmy Nichols and Calvin Russell, we had a gorgeous day at one of our favorite golf courses, Juliette Falls.  49 Pirates played, and only 1 came out on top.

Pirate favorite, Jason "Get Jaggy With It" Harmon, a former FAU and Jacksonville Jaguar receiver, shot an incredible 1-over 73, and finished at +7.5 with 36.5 points.  Under the new rules, his quota will go up from 29 to 33, but even at 33, he's likely to be in the top 10 every tournament with his stellar play.  1st place prize money was $308, and the honor of being the Jose Gaspar for November 2024.  Jason also grabbed 3 skins worth another $30 each, for a total of $398!

Second place went to Steven "Hoobastank" Haubenstock, who fired an awesome 85.  Steven was +7, just 1/2 point out of 1st place, and made 25 points off his 18 quota.  2nd place earns him the title of Skallywag, plus $102 in prize money.  He also nabbed a skin on #7 for the only B Flight skin of the day.  His total earnings came to $132.

We had a 3-way tie for 3rd place between Donald Jensen, Ken Cabrera and Tarun Godiyal.  After going to the scorecards, with Tarun getting a shot on the #1 handicap hole #6, his bogey net par won the tiebreaker with a gross par.  Besides being the Deckhand for November, "T-God" won $34 in prize money.

Our Wench has to have an asterisk this month, as Eric "ET" Toliver had to leave early for a prior family event.  He was forced to take a max score on the last 3-4 holes, resulting in him finishing at -7.5.

We had some great play at Juliette Falls, as 5 of our players shot in the 70's or better, with Mike Caporale leading the way with a 68.  Next was Jason at 73, then Victor at 76, Jared at 77 and Arun at 79.  19 players bested their quotas, 2 hit them exactly, and 18 missed their quotas.

Next month, the Pirate Golf Tour returns to Lake Jovita's North Course, with a 12 noon shotgun start on December 14.  Unfortunately, their prices have skyrocketed, like most courses the past 3-4 years.  In our 8th season, we will consider having 4 Pirate Majors at premium courses, plus our annual Skulls vs Crossbones at Streamsong, leaving 7 tournaments that we can consider playing at more budget friendly courses.  Please sign up early in our App for the Jingle Balls tournament at Lake Jovita.
