We had 36 pirates drive over to Polk County to play at Huntington Hills, and while the round was a slow one, the weather was incredible, and the golf course was a fun one. The fairways were tight and suffered from temps in the 20's-30's a few weeks ago. The course has a great and fun design, with greens that were pure.

It was a beatiful day for golf at Juliette Falls, one of the most visually stunning golf courses in Florida, and a true favorite of Gaspar Golf. The course was in perfect shape, and the greens were rolling at tournament speed. 38 golf pirates drove north to play in the annual Pirate Memorial, as we remember 2 fallen pirates, Calvin Russell and Jimmy Nichols. I also take time to remember my wife and best friend, Vanny Huynh-Fenton, who I lost at only 43 almost 3 years ago.

We are moving to 2 flights in the quota game to give the higher and lower handicap players their own divisions in which to compete. Troy shot a 90, scoring 22 points off his 15 quota, taking home $176 in prize money.
Our runner-up was Arun Chopra, who fired an awesome 76 on the hilly terrain and undulating greens of Skyview. He finished ...

Former D1 college golfer, and part-time mini-tour player, Mike Caporale, also self-proclaimed top 100 drivers of the golf ball in the world, shot an easy-peasy 6-under par 66 to win the 2025 Summer Slam tournament at Disney's Magnolia Course by 1/2 point over Toby Sager. Playing at a much deflated and too low quota of 37, Cap predicted a 66 or better, along with his win. A couple small mistakes cost him a score of 63-64, but his 350+ yard drive on the long par 4 hole #14 made for an excitin ...
