In one of the best individual performances in Gaspar Golf history, Adam Larson fired a 2-over-par 74, with 34-1/2 points, to shatter his Quota of 24 with a +10-1/2 finish. Larson last won a year and one month ago in the February 2022 event, so he joins the small group of players who have won 2 times on the Pirate Tour. Bill "Big Pole" Kilichowski, usually an emotional wreck on the golf course, kept it all together as he shot the lowest round of his career to win the 2023 Pirate Invasion at Skyview Golf & Country Club. It was a cold and breezy day in Howey-in-the-Hills, an hour and a half north of Tampa. 41 Pirates braved the frigid temps to play our first tournament at Mission Inn Resort & Club on the famed El Campeon course. Some days, golfers win. On other days, the course comes out on top. On Saturday, the course and weather combined to beat back all golfers but one, the lone lefty in the field, Jans Tamayo.

Clayton got a shot on the #1 and #2 handicap holes. After a net tie on the 1st hardest hole, Clayton's shot on the 2nd hardest hole gave him the win. Mike "Hat Trick" Hauch surged to his first victory by shooting a 77 on the tough Black Diamond Quarry Course, finishing at +9 over his 24 Quota. The win assured Hauch a spot in the 2021-2022 Gaspar Cup Playoffs, joining his father, Rocky Hauch. On the strength of a birdie and an eagle, Manuel Villar flew on pirate wings as he shot an 88 to win the 2022 Summer Slam at Countryside Country Club. Team Skulls, led by famed golf pirate, Tony "Kingpin" Ambrose, jumped out to a lead after Saturday's matches, and kept the pedal to the metal on Sunday, winning the majority of the singles matches, to take home the crown in the 3rd annual Skulls vs Crossbones 2-Day Team Event at Reunion Golf Resort. MVP of Team Skulls was Mike Hauch. MVP of Team Crossbones was Rick Rhodes. They will each lead their respective teams in the 2023 Team Event.
